Jeff Hunt‘s Satanic (2016) hits Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD on October 4, 2016. Special features will include interviews with the cast, behind the scenes footage, and special effects breakdowns. Satanic was an okay film to watch, and I am happy that the special features did try to deliver additional content for the viewer. Sarah Hyland, Steven Krueger, and Justin Chon star in Satanic.
From the Press Release:
The blood-curdling thrill ride SATANIC arrives on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD on October 4 from Magnolia Home Entertainment under the Magnet Label. Starring Sarah Hyland ("Modern Family"), Steven Krueger ("The Originals"), Justin Chon (Twilight), and Clara Mamet ("The Neighbors"), SATANIC follows four coeds as they summon unforgiving demons and make promises they quickly regret.
Before taking a road trip to Coachella, the group checks into the Flower Hotel, the scene of Lainey Gore’s gruesome suicide in homage to Satan himself, for their own satanic tour in the City of Angels. The thrill seekers visit the site of the infamous Manson murders and an unnerving satanic store, leading the group to mistakenly interrupt a cult’s sacrifice of a girl named Alice (Sophia Dalah, Unbroken).
Ultimately allowing her to break free, the travelers soon begin to question her innocence as she has an unsettling admiration for the spirit of Lainey Gore.
Special features of SATANIC include a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the pulse-pounding film, exclusive interviews with the cast, and a glimpse at the special effects used when creating some of the film’s most terrifying scenes. Available on October 4 on Blu-ray and DVD, SATANIC will retail for $29.98 and $26.98, respectively.
