Guillermo Del Toro Pacific Rim sure has some giant fighting robots. The poster reveals the robots may be the biggest I have seen in a while and very well may be the largest in non-anime movies. They make the transformers look like play things. The giant robots, Jaegers, were created to fight the Kaiju, monstrous creatures from the sea.

The Jaegers in Pacific Rim are controlled by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. The Jaegers are however almost overwhelmed by the almost endless Kaiju. The last hope now comes in the form of a legendary Jaeger from the past. The old and seemingly obsolete Jaeger must be piloted by two unlikely heroes. Washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested new trainee (Rinko Kikuchi).

Are they enough to battle the swarm of monstrous creatures plaguing mankind?
