THE EXORCIST TV Series Casts Brianne Howey

Brianne Howey (Scream Queens) is now cast in Fox’s The Exorcist TV series. She will potentially play a possessed character named Charlotte, which is a regular role. Charlotte is “a former ballet dancer, once the golden child, she has not been the same since her terrible accident. Now depressed and anti-social, she’s closed off and guarded.” Charlotte’s mother believes she is the victim of a demonic possession after the change in her behavior.

Jeremy Slater (The Lazarus Effect (2015), Fantastic Four (2015)) is handling the writing and executive producing with James Robinson, David Robinson, and Barbara Wall. 20th Century Fox Television and Morgan Creek Productions will produce the new horror thriller The Exorcist. The Exorcist is described as "a propulsive, serialized psychological thriller following two very different men tackling one family’s case of horrifying demonic possession, and confronting the face of true evil."

Inspired by a true story of a child’s demonic possession in the 1940s, William Peter Blatty created an iconic novel that focuses on Regan, the eleven-year-old daughter of a movie actress residing in Washington, D.C. A small group of overwhelmed yet determined individuals must rescue Regan from her unspeakable fate, and the drama that ensues is gripping and unfailingly terrifying.
