10 Marvel Comics Characters Who Need A Horror Movie Now!

10 Marvel Comics Characters Who Need A Horror Movie Now!

Here are a few monsters from the Marvel Comics Universe (MCU) that deserve a shot at having their own horror movie. In order to do these characters justice, we will need at least a PG-13 rating, even that is slim, maybe Guillermo del Toro attached but not required, and a ton of blood and gore to compliment the stories. Check out these 10 Marvel Comics characters that deserve their own horror movies!

Morbius

Morbius The Living Vampire

Morbius is also called the Living Vampire since Marvel at the time of his inception could not flat-out give us a real vampire. He still drinks a form of blood energy and has all the classic features of a vampire. You could have appearances from Spider-Man and Blade, better yet, The Nightstalkers.

Man-Thing

Man Thing

Man-Thing looks like a cross between The Swamp Thing and Cthulu. Ted was betrayed by those he trusted in a means to create the super soldier. He is turned into a monstrous killing machine.

Venom

Venom

Venom, a classic Spider-Man villain that became so popular that Marvel had no choice but to make him into an anti-hero. It would be cool to see his journey from villain to anti-hero play out on the big screen.

Calypso

Calypso

Calypso is a psychopathic voodoo priestess who can pull off the menacing female antagonist role in a great way. Her unpredictability adds to the characters attraction.

Deathlok

Deathlok

Deathlok is a reanimated monster like a modern Frankenstein monster enhanced by cybernetics. Some also refer to him as a cross between a zombie and the Terminator.

Jack O’Lantern

Jack O Lantern

Jack O’Lantern could be the start of a Halloween-themed film centrally focused on a Marvel character.

Scarecrow

Scarecrow

Scarecrow is similar to the DC Comics version as that he is someone who can easily be dismissed but turns the tables quickly on the protagonist. Another great Halloween-themed Marvel character waiting for a little shine.

Legion of Monsters

Legion of Monsters

Legion of Monsters consists of Dracula, the Mummy, Wolfman and much more. No brainer here, just needs the right script, cast, and team to blow Universal Monsters out of the box office.

Wolverine

Wolverine

I remember when I was growing up I saw Wolverine vs. vampires and had to own the collection. I later bought the entire Wolverine V2 comic set when I grew up. The Wolverine vs. vampires saga was told in "The Gehenna Stone Affair." Wolverine has had many zombies stints and many "What If’s" featuring terrific horror themed stories.

Carnage

Carnage

Carnage is the ultimate serial killer in the Spider-Man universe where Spider-Man even required the help of Venom many times to take down Carnage. I think it could play out something like Se7en (1995).
