the were world meets special ops !
this one is a page turner.... U are immersed into a world of special ops missions with a team that has some "extra" edge. As the pages turn you soon find out what that is and why they're chosen for these particular missions. Sasha (2nd in command of the team) discovers there are alot of things she didn't know about herself or her "extra" advantages, so when her teammates come up missing she is frantic to find out what is going on. A mysterious stranger named Hunter promises he can give her more answers, but can she trust him?

Bad Blood
First off, I just love how L.A. Banks mixes different cultures and backgrounds. It makes for a more intriguing story and it's something different from the usual werewolf story. I really enjoyed this book. There were some slow parts and a bit too much "feeling" in some parts. I didn't have a hard time swooshing through those sections though. However, L.A. did a good job of capturing the intensity and passion. Sasha Trudeau is a Special Ops Agent for the US Government. She and her team work unseen to try and stop the sale of demonic tainted werewolf blood on the black market. Little does she know that some of her teammates were purposely exposed to the contaminated blood for test purposes, by the government. Everything Sasha thought she new about herself, her teammates, her commanders and her heart are about to change. Time has run out for her team leader Rod. His exposure to the tainted blood has reached its peak. The demonic influence causes him to become exactly what he's been chasing for years. Sasha is put between a rock and hard place in order to stop him. There are a few good things that do happen to Sasha. She meets her mate, although she is squeamish to make a commitment. She finds out more about her origins and her family. I recommend this book and I am looking forward to book two.

A brilliant start to a new relationship
Bad Blood is an awesome tale. Weaved from campfire ghost stories & present day events like cell manipulation & gov't black ops, this book is a brilliant read & a great new series to replace the VHLS, which is nearing an end. LA is the best writer in this genre in my opinion. She has a poetic, lyrical style that makes reading her books like watching a movie. The characters are well developed & even the seeming most insignificant character has depth & sometimes turns up in unexpected ways in the story. Kudos for another super fantastic series. The CMS rocks!!!

Heavy on romance, light on fantasy
This book is categorized as Dark Fantasy, the description on the back
cover makes it sound like an Urban Fantasy. After reading it, I'm
classifying it has a Romance novel with paranormal elements, emphasis
on the romance. I was looking for an urban fantasy with some romantic
elements thrown it, not the other way around.
While this book takes a new spin on werewolf mythology that is
interesting if a little confusing, it is mostly a romance novel (70%
of the book is devoted to romance/sex). The writing was sub par as
well, especially in the first few chapters. I got pretty tired of
reading about someone's 'sexy eyebrow', or 'sexy smile', or 'sexy
grin', or 'sexy glance' etc. Beyond that, the plot could have been
more interesting had it been told in a different manner. As it was
the story took a number of rather pointless "sex breaks" that
detracted from the overall narrative. I'm going to take a pass on the
rest of this series and probably on any other L. A. Banks novels as
well.

Bad Blood
Pretty boring and slow. I started it weeks ago and keep reading it but its really easy to put it down and forget about it. Some day I might finish it.I would not recomend this book.
