Review of Fablehaven
Kendra and her brother, Seth, have no idea that their grandfather is the current caretaker of Fablehaven. Inside the gated woods, ancient laws keep relative order among greedy trolls, mischievous satyrs, plotting witches, spiteful imps, and jealous fairies. However, when the rules get broken -- Seth is a bit too curious and reckless for his own good -- powerful forces of evil are unleashed, and Kendra and her brother face the greatest challenge of their lives. To save their family, Fablehaven, and perhaps even the world, Kendra and Seth must find the courage to do what they fear most.

Fablehaven By Will
Fablehaven begins with Seth and Kendra driving to their grandparents' house. The story continues with all sorts things surrounding suspicious milk, fairies, a chicken, and a demon. The main characters Seth and Kendra find themselves tangle in something much bigger than them. Brandon Mull has a classic in the making. With its twists and turns this book will keep you up at night scared while wanting a glass of milk.

fablehaven ele
Fablehaven is a very magical book. It is about two kids, Seth & Kendra. They think that their grandparents are spooky. Are they? Then they meet some very unusual things including witches, fairies and much more creepy creatures! Seth gets Kendra in trouble on new summer nights-eve.
Can she find a way out of trouble to save her family?
Or is she going to hand them over to a creepy witch?
Come & explore with Seth & Kendra! This was one of my favorite books. I think you will enjoy it.

Great!
While it's not Harry Potter or Twilight, I have to say I may have found a new series to enjoy that isn't finished yet!! I really enjoyed this book, devouring it in a little over a day. The characters are fun and interesting. I do wish more of the story was devoted to the creatures that inhabit Fablehaven because I'm sure the author barely even touched this subject. I can't wait to get the next one and learn more about Fablehaven, the creatures who inhabit it, and those who take care of it!

Simply Enjoyable
Fablehaven is a classic fairy tale set in the modern world. It has everything a fairy tale should have: witches, mysteries to solve, lands to explore, trolls, goblins, satyrs, and of course fairies. Watching the children as they explore a mysterious estate, solve puzzles, cause mischief, and face danger was thoroughly enjoyable. The plot was simple and straightforward, and the characters were one dimensional, but I see no fault there. The children are second to the plot, and it is an action based story, instead of a character driven fantasy. Additionally, the simplicity of the plot is refreshing. I read this to live a modern fairy tale and I was not disappointed. Sure Seth can be annoying, but what teenage boy does not want to cause trouble and do some exploring? Kids will be kids. If anything, Kendra's overly cautious nature was annoying, but I think they balanced each other well. Another good thing about this book is the presence of a continuing plot. Fablehaven allows for future books in the series with the inclusion of the Evening Star society whose goal is to destroy the safe havens of mythical creatures. I think this is a series worth reading, and worth continuing. Fablehaven is delightful and refreshing, with just the right amount of fun, danger, and strange creatures.

Great Read!!!
The book came in good condition, the cover was a bit torn, but the story is the important part. It was great. It caught my attention and kept me turning the pages. I finished it in two days and I am a busy mother of two, running a daycare business. I'm already finishing the second book. It's a must read for the whole series. And you don't have to worry about it being too graphic, or having foul language.
