Review of Dark Fall 2: Lights Out (Jewel Case)
Dark Fall 2: Lights Out is a sequel is the classic 1st-person adventure, Lights Out: The Journal. The year is 1912, and you play a young surveyor mapping an ancient coastline. When you arrive, the local fisherman keep their distance, while avoiding mention of the old lighthouse on Fetch Rock. One night, the lighthouse goes dark as a deep fog rolls in and people begin disappearing. The mystery of the lighthouse beckons, and as you uncover it, you'll be haunted by apparitions.

A wonderful sequel
I thought this sequel to Dark Fall was even more fun than the first game. This is a point-and-click slide-show type haunted lighthouse adventure game. Again, there are no characters other than occasional voices. Also again, it doesn't have any whiz-bang graphics, but the illustrations are effective, the atmosphere is moody, and the puzzles are complex and interesting. I really enjoyed this one because of some unexpected, clever turns in the story. The only complaint I have is that the game just ends abruptly. Even more highly recommended than the first game. (If you can get the Pins & Needles edition that contains both Dark Fall and Lights Out it's well worth it.) After you play this one, play The Lost Crown.

excellent!
I just finished playing it, and it became one of my favourites of all time (and I played A LOT of adventure games)! The story is excellent! I can't beleive someone called it boring. Although if you like shooting and action games, this will be boring, because there is a lot to study and read and explore here, a lot of walking around and looking into every corner to find more clues. I even had a notepad to write down all the facts. The only thing I didn't like was that the surroundings don't "move" with the movement of the mouse, so you have to click-click-click to look and walk around. But overall athmosphere, sound and story-line are so real and creepy!! When I say creepy, I mean the athmosphere - there is no blood or violence here. So I would recommend it for those adventurous ones of you!!! )))

Mixed Genre Disappointment
This is a game which cannot make up it's mind (I know that people created it) as to what it wants to be. Is it going,as advertised,to be a creepy adventure story? Is it going to be a scary whodunit? Is it going to be a horror filled thrill ride? No,No,& No. It is a boring, plodding sci-fi wannabe, detective story maybe,brain-teaser oughta-be, ripoff! Not creepy, graphically ridiculous (there are more scenes and interesting content in a Mighty Mouse cartoon) with a plot so loose that it needs
Kaopectate. I love a good chilling adventure but this ain't it!

Fun game, weak ending
I think that this is a fun game, it was interesting going from time to time exploring different things. When I actually finished the game, my jaw dropped a little. I really expected more. Like another reviewer said, it seemed rushed and very difficult to understand what is being said. Overall I liked the game.

a liitle glad its over
Well first off I just finished this game and decided to come rate it. In the beginning I was very excited to play. Then after going back and forth between times I got a little aggravated. I really got tired of climbing back and forth on the lighthouse stairs. Also I am no artist so It annoyed me that I had to go back threw most of the game to sketch certain things so I could have the ending that I deserved. Well I didn't get the ending I deserved. The ending is horrible. You can barely make out what is being said. I had to actually go to a few website to read what was being said in the end. A lot of items you click on will have to be revisited after a certain item is found. So its like going threw the entire game twice hoping for something to change. But on the plus side it was a good way to waste a lazy Sunday. I would suggest playing the game if you just have nothing else to do and there is nothing on tv to watch. Its very cheap on here now so go for it. Just have a pen and paper ready to write down a lot of numbers and do a few sketches.
