Nyko 83057 Ps3 Front Man Guitar- Black
I bought one of these guitars over a year ago for my wife, and my she loves hers. She's a small person, and liked how light it is and the buttons were lightning quick. Since she's a 95+% player in "Expert" mode, I figured that it was about as good a testimony as one could get, so when we bought Rock Band 2, I decided to get two more guitars - especially since it seemed to be such a deal. That's when the problem started.
When the guitars arrived, I plugged in the first one right out of the box and it seemed to have a mind of it's own. There was a repeated green button strike that immediately drove the game into solo mode, with a song queued up for play. There was no overcoming the problem, so I figured the first one was broken and got out the second one. It failed the exact same way.
AN UPDATE: It turns out that Rock Band 2 has changed their codes for the guitar controller to match those of Guitar Hero. How nice to include an undocumented feature that drives a consumer batty. My discovery of this feature was quite accidental. So to get this guitar to work with Rock Band 2, the dongle must be set for Guitar Hero. It still needs to be set to Rock Band for the original Rock Band game. For this reason alone, I have docked a point from their rating (even though it more rightly is a good feature not discussed by the game itself), because otherwise this guitar works really well - very fast key responses.

A little bit more than you'd expect...
I got this guitar pretty cheaply from Amazon as a stand in for the "genericaster" that was broken a mere two days after purchasing GH:WT. It arrived a full two weeks before the real one did, which was a major plus for me. When the replacement arrived... it stayed on the shelf, except for dual player bouts. This feels pretty cheap, but is actually solidly constructed, and has survived some falls and impacts. Five colored LEDs on the pedal light up in response to the fret touches, which is still pretty cool even though it serves no purpose. The buttons are reponsive, durable, although the yellow fret could be marked a bit more than the small raised dot. But what caused me to write this review is that it's outlived the OEM guitar AGAIN.

Extra Control
The sole reason i bought this product is because i needed an extra guitar for rock band and guitar hero, and instead of buying two different ones, this helps me save space and money by buying this. I heard about it from my friend and that's why i was sold on it. It doesn't look that great but it does the job just fine.

Great Guitar
Can't beat this guitar for the price. It works for all Guitar Hero games for PS3, though I haven't tried any of the Rock Band games. I assume it's probably just as good on those. It's much more responsive than the guitar that came with Guitar Hero 3; in fact, I haven't used that guitar since I got this one.
