Review of J.D.'s Revenge

Outta the grave and into the ghetto comes the tortured spirit of a 1940's tough-as-nails gangster who pries his way into the body of a hip and likable young soul brother (Glynn Turman, How Stella Got Her Groove Back). With terrifying twists and turns, this spine-tingling, "sharp, hip and offbeat" (Boxoffice) adventure delivers pure urban action excitement! Ike (Turman) is having a night on the town when he volunteers to be part of a hypnotist's nightclub act. But when thedemonic spirit of a long-dead gangster muscles its way into Ike's mindall hell breaks loose! Calling himself J.D., Ike thinks he is the reincarnation of the murdered gangster as he launches a rampage of revenge to destroy those who did him in years ago. JD's Revenge Delivers

Saw this as a kid when it was originally released and thought it might not have made it to DVD..am glad that it did. It delivered the same amount of chills as it did when I saw it as a youngster. Glynn Turman remains a very talented actor.

Review Of Purchase

The movie was in perfect condition and came to my house immediately after my purchase. I will buy from this seller again. The movie was not expensive and I have watched a couple times now.

Good action and acting

JD's Revenge is a very good "Oldie but goodie". If you like Black cinema. Lots of good action and acting.Really enjoyed watching this one!

Great Blaxploitation film. A classic!!

If you are a fan of the Blaxploitation films of the 70's this is definitely a great movie for your collection. This film is not low-budget and has a great story line and plot. Although the main character being possessed by the spirit of a criminal from the 1930's who is seeking revenge is a little far fetched. Overall, this is a great movie with a great cast.
