The Brotherhood 2 - Young Warlocks Review
Synopsis:John, a new student at an exclusive private school, is having trouble with a group of bullying jocks...
The Brotherhood 2 - Young Warlocks (2001) is an American horror movie that is the second installment of the Brotherhood series. Director David DeCoteau (Creepozoids (1987), Puppet Master III: Toulon’s Revenge (1991), The Brotherhood (2001), Leeches! (2003)) failed upon executing another one of the Brotherhood movies. The Brotherhood 2 contains sexual content with no nudity, minor bad language (damn, etc.), little violence, supernatural, warlock and school kids. The cover image for this film gave me the impression that the movie was going to be as good or better than its predecessor.
The Brotherhood 2 revolves around a group of school kids who are disliked by most of the other students and the principal at their exclusive private school, Chandler Academy. Luc (Forrest Cochran - Final Stab (Video) (2001), The Brotherhood (Video) (2001)) is a warlock that convinces the three disliked kids to be his followers, little to their knowing it is a warlock pyramid scheme. The scheme is that a warlock inducted him resulting in him receiving power, and he will gain even more power after recruiting his three new recruits by giving them power. The catch is that the new warlock has to kill a few people that they do not like.
John (Sean Faris - Never Back Down (2008), Yours, Mine & Ours (2005), Pearl Harbor (2001), The Lost Valentine (2011)) has been harassed by a bunch of jocks because of his friendship with classmate Mary. Luc told him that he can retaliate at the jocks by using witchcraft, but poor John does not know that using the power has a price. The three outcasts learned Luc is planning on summoning a powerful demon and wants to use them as a conduit.
The males in the movie look like male models instead of actors, and they might be better off being models because they cannot act. There is no horror in this horror movie, and the black magic of the film contradicts itself several times. This film appears to be of the cheapest quality where you can see an effort was made but was not much. The scenes were too long with bad acting and synthesizer music that is too loud.
