Dead Space: Downfall Review

Synopsis:

A prequel to the hit video game chronicling the discovery of the Red Marker and the first Necromorph outbreak.

The Dead Space franchise has held a special place in my collection from the first time I played Dead Space on the Xbox. Dead Space: Downfall (2008) does not disappoint in the general aspect of the franchise, there is gore and scares. I really liked the art direction and general feel but I did not feel anything new was added. I did not feel like the movie left me with something new or really added anything new to the franchise. I really like the franchise so maybe I was over optimistic but I did feel a little let down after watching the movie but those new to the franchise should like the film as an introduction to the franchise.
