Leprechaun 3 Review
Synopsis:It was a normal night in Las Vegas, Nevada, all the lights were flashing brightly, until a man with one hand...
Leprechaun 3 (1995) is an American fantasy comedy horror movie that is loved by most of the population of the world at one time, or another. This is the third movie to the Leprechaun series. Brian Trenchard-Smith (Leprechaun 4: In Space (1996), Night of the Demons 2 (1994), BMX Bandits (1983)) is a director that is known for a lot of horror thriller movie. Leprechaun 3 contains some nudity and sexual references that are not suited for young children. it also contains violence, gore, bad language, comedy, suspense and some gross moments that I had to turn away from. I would recommend this movie to all horror fans who likes leprechauns and like older movies from the 1990s.
Leprechaun 3 is about an old man with one leg showing up at a pawn shop to pawn a statue with a gold medallion around it neck in 1995. The old man warns the shopkeeper, Gupta (Marcelo Tubert - Over the Hedge (2006), Tremors II: Aftershocks (1996), G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013)) that the medallion is a bad omen and not to touch to remove it from the statues neck. Gupta, of course, removes the medallion out of curiosity. Oh well, behold a Leprechaun (Warwick Davis - The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (2005), Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983), Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001)) comes to life when Gupta removed the medallion. The Leprechaun bit off piece of Gupta’s ear because he thinks Gupta is trying to steal his medallion. Gupta then warns the Leprechaun that he is wearing the medallion and the Leprechaun got scared and grabbed his pot of gold and ran to the basement. The Leprechaun returned and strangled Gupta with the phone cord as Gupta tries to call for help. The movie gets really interesting from here where Scott McCoy (John Gatins - Flight (2012), Need for Speed (2014), Real Steel (2011)) went into a pawn shop and found Gupta dead body. He then saw a sign for one wish to be granted, and it will be permanent. He makes a wish and the movie explodes - see it to see what I am talking about.
Leprechaun 3 was filmed in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA because most of the movie is at a casino. It is entertaining for a movie made in 1995. The dialogue was not all that great, and the acting did not help, but I still saw it a couple of times because it did something right. Leprechaun 3 is the funniest of all its series. The series is great to see around St. Patricks day.
