Matrix: Reloaded Review

Neo and the rebel leaders estimate that they have 72 hours until 250,000 probes discover Zion and destroy it and its inhabitants. During this, Neo must decide how he can save Trinity from a dark fate in his dreams.

When the original Matrix was released, it became a cultural phenomenon and was imitated or parodied all over TV and movies. After many years it was time for the King to reclaim it the throne.

The movie starts off with Neo having dreams of things to come. Everyone is informed that a machine army is digging into the ground to invade the last Human city, Zion. Neo is set on his path’s end and must do what he can to stop the catastrophe. To make things even worse, Agent Smith has some how returned and will do anything to stop Neo and destroy the Matrix so he can escape to the real world. Now anyone in the Matrix can be turned into him and uses that to disguise himself as one of the Zionist known as Bane. The oracle has revealed herself as a part of the Matrix and leads Neo to the Frenchman, a program whose alter ego is a very wealthy man. To finish his path, he must get the key maker who has the key to the end of his journey. This leads to an amazing chase scene that leads to the greatest highway to date. After Neo saves the day, everyone has to work together to get Neo to the mysterious door that will end the war. After something goes wrong Trinity goes into certain death, you make sure Neo makes it there safely. After all the commotion, the most confusing scene begins with Neo in a room with an old man known as the architect, creator of the Matrix. He gives Neo a choice and Neo chose to go back and saved the one he loved over all mankind. When Neo, Trinity, and Morpheus leaves the Matrix, they find out that they were discovered by Sentinels. They leave their ship, and when a swarm of Sentinels goes after them Neo was able to stop them with his mind then falls unconscious. It seems that an attempt to attack the machines went wrong leaving all ships destroyed and only one survive, Bane the one possessed by Agent Smith (HUH?!).

I love the Matrix it was such an amazing movie so it was only natural that I would be hyped about seeing Matrix Reloaded. I was hoping for more of a focus on the idea of what the world of the Matrix is all about but I got confused because nothing new was introduced. The action scenes were great, and the burly brawl was just unreal, in this part is where I can honestly say I was satisfied. The storyline, however, was some how lacking. I don’t know how to describe it, but certain things just didn’t feel right this time around.
