Play Hooky Review
Synopsis:Seniors play hooky from high school and get trapped in an abandoned Psychiatric Facility famous for hauntings, witchcraft and demonic possession.
Play Hooky: Innocence Lost (2014) is a drama crime thriller movie and exceeded my expectations. Director Frank S Petrilli did a bad job directing his second film. I am not looking forward to seeing any more movies from this guy. The first half of the movie, we see the kids driving around looking for a spot to go to after cutting class.
Play Hooky: Innocence Lost is about a group of teenagers skipping/cutting class to go smoke weed and drink alcohol. The teenagers had nowhere to go when they could not go to their planned location. They decide to go to an abandoned asylum because… It did not take long for the teens to dread their decision after they began being haunted, and… you guessed it - they were being killed individually, one by one. The abandoned asylum had a guard, why on earth would an abandon place have a guard? The guard warns the teens to stay away and of course they ignore him. This movie is such a bite off of other found footage films in the sense that one of the teens had a camera to video everything that was going on - how absurd is that??? We are being haunted and killed, but I am still going to take the risk to capture everything on camera - really. Sorry, I am all over the place on this movie but it was a total waste of my time. Some of the teens are: Rosie (Kim Kleemichin) appears to be a tough girl that attends a vocational school. Meg (Becky Byers) and Claire (Theresa Davis) attends a Christian academy and are always together. Clair always finds something wrong that leads her to complaining an awful lot. Needless to say, after--- hits the fan, the teens began running for their lives. Were they a little too late? Watch the movie if you have time to waste and desperately want to find out.
This is one movie that I would advise to stay clear of because there was one too many plot holes. This director/writer needs more classes to gain more experience because the movie was a total waste of money for him as well. I do not recommend this film.
