Nina Forever Review
Synopsis:After his girlfriend Nina dies in a car crash, Rob unsuccessfully attempts suicide. As he begins to overcome his grief...
Nina Forever (2015) is a UK English romance comedy horror movie that is 98 minutes long. Directors, editors and writers Ben Blaine and his brother Chris Blaine has both also worked on 0507 (2010), Hallo Panda (2006), and Free Speech (2004). I applaud the brothers for working well together on so many different aspects of the movie and doing a good job at it. The movie contains, extreme sexual content, violence, blood, suspense, frightening scenes, dark comedy and some great thrills.
Holly (Abigail Hardingham - The Sparticle Mystery (2011), Freak (2009), Gary and Gail (2011)) and Rob (Cian Barry - Real Playing Game (2013), Help Point (2014), Hard Times (2009), In the Spider’s Web (2007)) are in love. Nina (Fiona O’Shaughnessy - Alexander (2004), Goldfish Memory (2003), The Unusual Inventions of Henry Cavendish (2005), Nightwatching (2007)) Is Rob’s dead ex-girlfriend. Nina has a tendency to appear whenever Rob is making love or being intimate with Holly. Nina is not ready to move on and so therefore she is not ready to let Rob move on either. It is kind of scary to think that your ex-girlfriend can come back from the grave to haunt you and sabotage your love life. Imagine you are in bed getting it on, and your ex just appears from under a bloody bed sheet… Well, Nina says that her and Rob are still a couple, and he should not see anyone else. Holly does not want to break up with Rob and tries everything possible to get rid of ghostly dead Nina.
Are you asking yourself, why is Nina so hung up on Rob? Well, the answer is because Rob never got over his love for Nina and still thinks about her. Rob still loves Nina although she is dead, and he is with Holly. He plainly did not close that chapter to his life. It was interesting to see Nina and Holly fighting over Rob - the dead and the living. Holly tried so hard to get rid of Nina that she is becoming interested in Nina’s darkness - will that have a negative effect on Holly? I would definitely see this movie again and encourage horror fans to see it when possible. The set was spectacular. The actors all did a great job with their roles, and the special effects were not bad at all - nicely done.
