Dude Bro Party Massacre III Review

Synopsis:

In the wake of two back-to-back mass murders on Chico's frat row, loner Brent Chirino must infiltrate the ranks of a popular fraternity to investigate his twin brother's murder at the hands of the serial killer known as "Motherface."

Dude Bro Party Massacre III (2015) is an American comedy horror movie that most 80’s and 90’s horror fan would enjoy. First-time full-length movie directors Tomm Jacobsen, Michael Rousselet and Jon Salmon did a fabulous job working together. I was dreading the fact that I have to watch this movie because it is directed by three directors. I found that movies with more than one director was more prone to failing at executing the movie, but that was not the case with this movie. The three directors amazed me, and I would love to see more horror comedy from them with little adult content. The movie contains constant humor, punch lines, visual gags, verbal jokes, horror comedy, extreme gore fest, violence, suspense and sexual content.

Dude Bro Party Massacre III starts by showing us a text saying how the movie President Reagan had originally banned it decades earlier. There is only one version left and that one was recorded by a fan using his VCR while it was showing on TV. The movie feels as though it is old because it contains VHS tracking, advertisements from Reagan days, and scan lines. The movie revolves around Brent Chirino (Alec Owen - Members Only (2012), Walking in LA (2012), Uproxx Video (2013)) trying to find his brother’s killer. Brent joins the Delta Bi fraternity so that he can better investigate his twin brother Brock’s (Alec Owen) murder. He believes that Motherface (Olivia Taylor Dudley - Chernobyl Diaries (2012), Transcendence (2014), The Barber (2014), Chillerama (2011)) who is supposed to be dead is the killer. Motherface was/is a serial killer that is believed to return from the grave to kill all of the remaining Delta Bi brothers. The twist to the movie is Police Chief (Patton Oswalt - Ratatouille (2007), The King of Queens (1998), Magnolia (1999), Young Adult (2011)) is a satanic guy. Chief and co-workers Candace Buttiker (Maria Del Carmen - Video Game High School (2012), The Guest House (2012), The Deepest Dream (2012), Pretty Obsession (2012)) offers virgin Officer Sminkle (Brian Firenzi) to Motherface as a sacrifice.

Will Brent be able to revenge his brother’s death or will he join his brother’s fate? The movie, acting, music, sets, scares, costumes, and cinematography were all good. The movie was realistic and believable. I gave this movie a six because I enjoyed it and laughed constantly, but it is a movie that I will not watch again. It is made for horror fans that love a good mature horror comedy movie that you can just go with the flow and not think about it too much.
