6 Degrees of Hell Review

Synopsis:

Six individuals are caught up in a supernatural perfect storm, as an evil lays claim to one of them while threatening to tear apart the soul of a small Pennsylvania town.

6 Degrees of Hell (2012) is an American horror movie that Joe Raffa (You’ll Know My Name (2011), Swooped: Based on a Real Life Occurrence (2011), Camp Dread (2014)) failed at executing. The film is 90 minutes and was filmed in Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania, USA; Kunkletown, Pennsylvania, USA and Palmerton, Pennsylvania, USA. 6 Degrees of Hell was a total 90 minutes of boredom that contains supernatural events/entities, evil, Halloween, a paranormal investigation team, psychic, possession, haunted house attraction, few creepy characters and unlimited boredom. The action scenes start around 60 minutes into the movie where you might find yourself falling asleep. I could have done less with the jumping back and forth of plot lines as it became a nuisance after a while. The minor horror aspect of the movie will be seen in the third act and again by this point you might be sleepy to care for it.

Mary Riley (Susan Moses - Invincible (2006), Breath (1999), The Last Five Years (2014), Voiceless (2015)) has a collection of supernatural crime items. She offered to showcase her collection at the hotel of horrors for a small charge. The collection of paranormal artifacts is sent from lead psychic Mary Wiley’s personal collection to the Hotel of Horrors so that they can be put on display. It did not take long for nightmarish occurrences to start happening as all hell breaks loose. Demons soon started manifesting in the hotel, possessing staffs, and killing people. June (Nicole Cinaglia - Swooped: Based on a Real Life Occurrence (2011), The Toy Soldiers (2014), Close-Up (2011), Camp Dread (2014)) is a local teenager that has the gift of being a psychic. June does not like to use her special ability because whenever she does use it, she draws paranormal energy to her. A possessed teenager is thrown our way, and I am not sure how or why but it happened. At this point, I am just going with the flow while continuously watching the clock hoping that the movie will be finished soon.

The gist of the movie - characters become real demons, and customers smile while they might be facing execution as their eyes become black and show signs of possession and are decapitated, tortured, and killed. I gave this movie a one for all of the above reasons listed and because it was terrible in every possible way. Do not watch this movie.
