This statue of Jason Voorhees found at the bottom of the Minnesota Lake is not recent news because there is a video from 2013 showing the statue previously. At the end of the Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI (1986) film, Jason Voorhees was tied to a huge boulder, and then the large rock was thrown into the lake thus suspending the Camp Crystal Lake slasher to stay at the bottom of the lake for a duration of time. Both videos of the Jason Voorhees statue are below, the first video was filmed in 2013 while the most recent is from 2017. As you can see, the years have aged the figure. Thanks to Curtis Lahr for posting both videos.

The updated video of the Jason Voorhees statue in 2017. The Jason Voorhees statue is still scary for the unsuspecting diver even though it lost some crucial details from the water.
