The Rise of the Planet of the Apes sequel has been finally named “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes”. This upcoming movie is set to hit theaters May 23, 2014. Andy Serkis will be returning to his role as “Caesar” along with Robert Wyatt to direct once again. More details about Dawn of the Planet of the Apes after the jump.
The sequel to Rise of the Planet of the Apes "continues the story set forth in last year’s critical and commercial hit movie featuring simians that are given human intelligence and subsequently break out of their facility. At the same time, a virus breaks out that causes the collapse of human society. The new project is taking the story to the next level, with the apes on the path to emerge as society’s new rulers."
I can’t wait until May 23, 2014 to catch the next installment in the series.
Directed by Matt Reeves
Official Synopsis: A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species.
