Branded is the horror movie every movie fan of giant monsters is waiting for. I look at Branded and can’t help but think of Lovecrafts Cthulhu. Monsters sharing our world hidden in plain sight and behind some kind of veil. The one-sheet poster has 4 unique QR codes plus more in the trailer, website, social pages and other publicity materials. Branded will take QR codes to new heights and the entire marketing campaign will include 100 unique QR codes in all. I love the direction they are taking with this upcoming horror movie and can’t wait for more.
Ed Stoppard, Leelee Sobieski, Jeffrey Tambor, Ingeborga Dabkunaite and Max Von Sydow will star in Branded. Branded is co-written, produced and directed by marketing executives Jamie Bradshaw and Alexander Doulerain.
Branded will be coming to movie theaters this upcoming September 2012.
BRANDED is a dark and mind-bending journey into a surreal, dystopian society where corporate brands have unleashed a monstrous global conspiracy to get inside our minds and keep the population disillusioned, dependent and passive. One man, Misha’s (Ed Stoppard), passion to unlock the truth behind the conspiracy will lead to an epic battle with the hidden forces that really control our world.
Directed by Jamie Bradshaw, Aleksandr Dulerayn, Alexander Dulerayn
Official Synopsis: The film starts with documentary-style flashbacks showing Misha's rise to a powerful marketing executive. Now in Moscow 2017, Misha is a powerful marketing executive working to spread Western brands, and like the businesses he works for nothing will stop him in his greed, until the imprisonment and death of an overweight girl undergoing extensive plastic surgery to become skinny. Following a vision in which Misha sacrifices a heifer to God, he begins to receive strange visions depicting the brands control over people. He returns to work and guided by these visions, Misha attempts to stop the growth of the brands in post-Communist Russia by encouraging the brand to attack each other in their advertising campaigns. There is some debate whether Misha believes that the worship of global brands is Idolatry and his visions depicting the brands are controlling people causing them to sin, or whether his belief is that monopoly is evil and his intention is to create a Western style free-market economy.Cast: Max von Sydow, Jeffrey Tambor, Atanas Srebrev, Viktor Verzhbitskiy, Ingeborga Dapkunaite, Leelee Sobieski, Viktoriya Popova, Tsvetomira Daskalova, Nina Ruslanova, Jamie…
