Netflix has been treating horror fans to steady updates to their instant horror movie library. This December 29, 2014 update adds Dark Skies, I, Frankenstein, LFO: The Movie, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones and The Strange Color of Your Body’s Tears. Some of these films are popular mainstream movies going back to 2013. Enjoy the last few days of 2014 with Netflix Instant.
Dark Skies (2013) - Dark Skies was a nice watch when it came out and I am happy to see that Netflix has included it in it’s instant streaming service. Director Scott Stewart did a great job directing this horror sci-fi thriller movie, I recommend you watching this one if you have not already. Stars Keri Russell, Jake Brennan, Josh Hamilton.
Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones (2014) - If you are like most people, you have watched so many Paranormal Activity movies that you are just programmed to watch them now. This installment focuses on the birth and possession of one of the children destined to be possessed by a demon. Director Christopher Landon did not land a hit but not bad as a late night movie. Netflix has both the regular cut and the extended version with 17 minutes of extra footage. Stars Andrew Jacobs, Jorge Diaz, Gabrielle Walsh.
I, Frankenstein (2014) - Director Stuart Beattie had an amazing budget and stars included Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Miranda Otto but the movie fell far below most expectations. It was an okay watch for the late night.
The Strange Color of Your Body’s Tears (2013) - Co-directed by Helene Cattet and Bruno Forzani has received many positive comments. I have not seen this movie yet but plan to soon.
LFO: The Movie (2013) - This movie is more sci-fi but is mentioned because of the many praises it has received. Misfit Robert Nord discovers a sound frequency that can hypnotize people and uses this ability to his dark purposes.
