Starz’s Ash Vs. Evil Dead Season 1 TV Series’ latest update drops the news that each episode will be half-hour episodes. Attached to the project are Sam Raimi (executive producer/director), Rob Tapert (executive producer) and Bruce Campbell (executive producer/star). What we needed was an exact premiere date but received a fourth quarter 2015 premiere date, which is not bad but if you are like me, you want an exact date. This and more news is likely to be revealed soon and you know we will cover everything related to the Evil Dead TV series.
Chris Albrecht (Starz CEO) talking about the half-hour episodes:
The half hour idea was their idea. And I can tell you it’s a chock-full half hour.
About filming in New Zealand;
Rob Tapert, who is the heart and soul of that hands-on producing team, makes his home there and we shot Spartacus there and there are great production teams there. We’re looking forward to being down there and flying talent back and forth.
When is the premiere date of the Evil Dead TV series?
I think most likely it will be fourth quarter [of 2015]. End of third quarter, fourth quarter, something like that. We’ve got a lot of shows this year. We’re very, very excited.
