Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim 2 Starts Shooting November 2015

Guillermo del Toro‘s Pacific Rim 2 (2017) is set to release in movie theaters on August 4, 2017. Guillermo del Toro has confirmed that everything is ready to start shooting Pacific Rim 2 this November 2015. This news was revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con 2015. Although this is the very early stage of development, del Toro did say that everyone is busy building the robots and kaiju, full details below. The design process has already been in the works for the past 3-4 months.

Guillermo del Toro said:

We are deep into designing the robots, the kaijus…having fun planning the battles. We have an epic battle at the end of this that we started to design a couple of weeks ago. We’ve been up for about three or four months designing, and we start shooting in November.
