Stephen King shared some interesting news stating what we all want to hear about The Dark Tower (2017). Idris Elba as gunslinger Roland Deschain and Matthew McConaughey as the Man in Black is going to happen. Nikolaj Arcel is going to direct the first in the Sony movie adaptations of The Dark Tower novels; I like to call it Stephen King’s version of J. R. R. Tolkien‘s The Lord of the Rings. All we are waiting, for now, is the official announcement to kick it off.
It looks to me like it’s more likely than not it’ll happen at this point," he says. "Let’s put it that way."
"I think that it’s more likely than not that Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey will be in it," King says. "But I can’t say with any certainty. I know that they’re trying to make deals with these actors [and] with Sony, and that’s the extent of my knowledge.

At his apartment home in New York City, a group of workers from an alleged psychiatric facility offer to rehabilitate Jake; recognizing them from his visions as monsters wearing human skin, he flees from the workers who give chase. Jake tracks down an abandoned house from one of his visions where he discovers a high-tech portal that leads to a post-apocalyptic world called Mid-World..
