Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey Confirmed to Star in Stephen Kings THE DARK TOWER

Stephen King confirmed that Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey will star in Nikolaj Arcel’s The Dark Tower (2017). This is the much-anticipated movie adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower series. Elba will play as the Gunslinger, and McConaughey will play as the Man in Black. Nikolaj Arcel revealed that the film will begin shooting in seven weeks in South Africa. Sony Pictures will release the film in movie theaters on January 13, 2017.

Stephen King revealed that the movie will start in the middle, I guess for those who did not read the books. Here is what Stephen King said below:

[The movie] starts in media res, in the middle of the story instead of at the beginning, which may upset some of the fans a little bit, but they’ll get behind it, because it is the story.
