Eli Roth Left MEG Movie - Jon Turteltaub in Talks

Eli Roth has quietly left the big screen adaptation of Meg and now Jon Turteltaub is in talks to fill his shoes as the director. Rumors suggest that Eli Roth left due to budget concerns. Warner Bros. is looking to capture a family crowd like Jurassic World (2015) did recently, so Turteltaub is an excellent fit with National Treasure (2004), The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (2010), and 3 Ninjas (1993) in his past credits. Meg is based on the popular novel written by Steve Alten featuring two men hunting a rampaging Megalodon shark off the coast of China.
