NBC"s Dracula TV series started off strong, but maybe due to the crazy behind the scenes drama, slowly fizzled out and NBC ultimately cancelled the Dracula TV series. Dracula worked at updating the classic Dracula into a modern/industrial era while also setting Dracula in a conspiracy. The story was great in setting so many sides to Dracula/Alexander Grayson (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) and making him an avenger, keeping the bloodthirsty animal side of him while also making him love crazy for Ilona (Jessica De Gouw). Thomas Kretschmann played Abraham Van Helsing, Victoria Smurfit played Lady Jane Wetherby, Oliver Jackson-Cohen played Jonathan Harker, and Katie McGrath starred as Lucy Westenra. There was action, drama, fantastic cast, and compelling story, but we needed more scares and vampires. I am a fan of what the Dracula series tried to accomplish and what it could have been. Jonathan Rhys Meyers had some alcohol issues that affected filming, and NBC thought it best to cancel the TV series before season 1 even finished, NBC canceled Dracula Season 2. I watched most of the episodes on Hulu, but Hulu or NBC has removed the episodes from Hulu"s lineup.

Dracula travels to London, with dark plans for revenge against those who ruined his life centuries earlier. However, his plan is complicated when he falls in love with a woman who seems to be a reincarnation of his dead wife.
