In the not too distant future a secret government re-animation chemo-virus gets released into conservative Sartre, Nebraska and lands in an underground strip club. As the virus begins to spread, turning the strippers into "Super Zombie Strippers" the girls struggle with whether or not to conform to the new "fad" even if it means there's no turning back.

Zombie Strippers (2008) Review

Zombie Strippers (2008) is a 1h 34-min rated R American science-fiction zombie comedy-horror film that was loosely based on Eugene Ionesco‘s play Rhinoceros. Writer, editor and director Jay Lee (The Slaughter (2006), Alyce Kills (2011), Noon Blue Apples (2002)) did not execute the movie to rise above its premise, and the poor production values do not make me want to watch it again. Zombie Strippers went wrong in many directions, but fans who love boobs and strippers in a┬ámovie might overlook everything bad about this film and enjoy it.

I appreciate that the film starts by explaining to us that it is set in a dystopic near-future where George W. Bush was elected to serve as president for a fourth term. A lot of things are banned including The United States Congress and public nudity. The United States is suffering because it is in wars with Afghanistan, Alaska, Canada, France, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Syria, and Venezuela. Dr. Chushfeld developed a virus that will re-animate dead Marines so that they can help with the war because there are not enough soldiers to fight all of the wars. All hell broke loose when the virus infects scientists and test subjects who escape the laboratory. A group of Marines who is referred to as the "Z" Squad was assigned to destroy the zombies but of course, it cannot be that easy. The movie progresses to showing us how other people got infected.

The movie contains unlimited explicit gore, zombies, a dense storyline, pole dancing, one-liner, off pacing, some awkward scenes, and some humor. The acting was average and nothing to be too excited over as the actors were not given much to work with leaving them to being the one-dimensional bland character. There is a lot of other things that went wrong in the film that I do not want to get into, but please do go ahead and explore the movie if you dare to sit through a dreadful video. I do not recommend this film to zombie horror fans because it reeks of failure.
