I Still Know What You Did Last Summer Review
Synopsis:The murderous fisherman with a hook is back to once again stalk the two surviving teens, Julie and Ray, who left him for dead, as well as cause even more murder and mayhem, this time at a posh island resort.
I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998) is an American mystery thriller horror movie that is a sequel to the 1997 film I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997). Director Danny Cannon (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000), CSI: Miami (2002), Nikita (2010), CSI: NY (2004)) is a wonderful director but failed with this movie. I do not think any director could have saved this torturous screenplay and made it into anything remotely entertaining.
Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt - Ghost Whisperer (2005), I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997), Can’t Hardly Wait (1998)) dreams of fisherman Ben Willis while sleeping in class. She woke up screaming in class because she thinks he is coming after her - she remembered what she helped her friends do to him. Julie was not even in her hometown Southport taking classes because of the tragic deaths of her friends last summer. She decided to study in Boston so that she can escape her nightmares, but they follow her. Skip some events, Julie and her friends won tickets that they should not have won and embark and an adventurous getaway or so they think. After a few more events, Julie started singing karaoke at a bar and stopped when the words, “I STILL KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER” is shown on the screen. The Dead fisherman Ben Willis (Muse Watson - Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999), I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997), Assassins (1995)) is at their hotel and plans on killing everyone. Watch the movie if you want to know what happens next and who dies.
I dislike when money is wasted on mediocre movies that do not entertain the majority of movie lovers. Once again, I feel such money should be donated to charities and organizations that help the needy and states in disasters. The money spent on this dreadful movie could have fed so many people in poverty stricken countries - it is a shame. On another note, there is not one good thing I can say about this movie. I would have given this movie a zero if I can but since I cannot, it receives a repulsive one from me.
