Leprechaun in the Hood Review

When three rappers want to get even with a pimp, they accidentally unleash a leprechaun who goes on a killing rampage in the 'hood.

Leprechaun in the Hood (2000) is an American fantasy comedy horror movie that is also known as Leprechaun 5: In the Hood. Director Rob Spera (Bloody Murder 2: Closing Camp (2003), Fathers and Sons (2005), Sexual Predator (2001)) failed with executing this action movie so much that it went straight to video. The movie contains major sexual references such as females squeezing their breast, sexual sounds can be heard from a bedroom and other related materials. The movie also contains violence, gore, bad language, drug use, suspense and some frightening scenes. Some of the violent scenes are when a hole is blown through a mans stomach, a hair pick stabs a man in the neck, leprechaun eye poked out with a fork and lots of other violent acts.

Leprechaun in the Hood is about three rappers in Los Angeles that accidentally freed a Leprechaun (Warwick Davis - The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (2005), Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983), Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001)) that was imprisoned. Record producer Mack Daddy O’Nassas (Ice-T - Johnny Mnemonic (1995), New Jack City (1991), Tank Girl (1995)) caught the Leprechaun 20 years ago after it killed many people. The three rappers, Postmaster P. (Anthony Montgomery - Star Trek: Enterprise (2001), Why Am I Doing This? (2009), I’m Through with White Girls (The Inevitable Undoing of Jay Brooks) (2007)), Stray Bullet (Rashaan Nall - Play’d: A Hip Hop Story (2002), Principal Takes a Holiday (1998), Cuts (2005)) and Butch (Red Grant - Comedy Central Roast of Flavor Flav (2007), Family Reunion: The Movie (2003), First Sunday (2008)) are terrified when the Leprechaun starts to taunt them after killing DJ artists, a reverend and a bodacious girl. The Leprechaun leaves Postmaster P. and Butch fearing for their life after the Leprechaun made Stray Bullet shoot himself in the mouth while fighting each other.

The Leprechaun was terrorizing everyone because he is in search of his magic flute that can put people in a trance when they listen to it. Butch tries to convince Postmaster P. to join him in the fight against the Leprechaun. Butch wants to lace a joint with clover so that they can steal the flute back and take the Leprechaun powers away. The boys decided to dress up as drag queens to gain entrance to a club that the Leprechaun is at. There is a huge altercation at the club that ends with some people dying.

I strongly do not recommend this movie because it is a nightmare to watch but if you feel to watch it, you want to see the club fighting scene. The movie appeared to be so long because it was just awful to watch. The movie contains a storyline filled with plot holes, bad acting, comedy relief and a leprechaun that is not scary.
