All the Boys Love Mandy Lane Review

A group of high-schoolers invite Mandy Lane, an innocent, desirable girl, to a weekend party on a secluded ranch. While the festivities rage on, the number of revelers begins to drop mysteriously.

All The Boys Love Mandy Lane is a nice horror serial killer movie but it also so cliche. It is another teen filled killing movie but this one got my attention and I was shocked to see who was the mastermind behind all of the killing. Of course since it is another teen movie you will expect the teens to go in the woods to a house with a lake and no surrounding neighbors except for a person who upkeep’s the property. I gave this movie a 6 because throughout most of the movie, I kept on guessing who the serial killer is and I was wrong until they showed his face. The next shocker was to see who his accomplice in murdering these teenagers was and the suicide pact that they have. This movie was actually suppose to be aired in 2006 but was detained because of the suicide theme in the end of the movie.

All The Boys Love Mandy Lane is about a group of high school teenagers who is gong gone crazy over Mandy Lane (Amber Heard - Autobahn, London Fields, 3 Days to Kill, Machete Kills) and her beautiful body. Mandy and her best friend Emmet (Michael Welch - The Grounds, Rough Hustle, Significance, The Well) got invited to a pool party where Emmet tells a boy to prove his love to Mandy by diving into the pool from the rooftop of the house. The boy dives to his death in the pool with his head hitting the pool ground. Everyone started to keep their distance from Emmet when they are not making fun of him in the new school year. Mandy keeps her distance from him in school as well. Mandy started to hang out with a new group of friends and got invited to a ranch for the weekend. Her new friends are into drugs, alcohol, sexual activity and partying.

The first day at the ranch was fun but then at night, two of the friends were murdered, but one one else knew about it until the next day. Everyone got killed one by one, and some of the ways were extremely gruesome and gory. The killer slashed Bird’s (Edwin Hodge - The Purge, One Heart, A String to Pull) eyes with a knife and rammed a gun barrel through Marlin’s (Melissa Price - Rune, Reach for the Stars, The Kid & I) mouth until there were a massive amount of blood. The rest of the friends die on the second day except for one.

Director Jonathan Levine (Rush, 50/50, Warm Bodies) did an okay job with the movie with this movie. I am not too fond of this director and not sure if I will be watching anymore of his movies.

All The Boys Love Mandy Lane contains female nude scenes, adult scenes, bad language, gruesome, gory death, aggressive violence, and suspense.
