Vampire Academy Plot Synopsis:

Rose Hathaway is a dhampir, half-vampire and half-human, who is training to be a guardian at St Vladimir's Academy along with many others like her. There are good and bad vampires in their world: Moroi, who co-exist peacefully among the humans and only take blood from donors, and also possess the ability to control one of the four elements - water, earth, fire or air; and Strigoi, blood-sucking, evil vampires who drink to kill. Rose and other dhampir guardians are trained to protect Moroi and kill Strigoi throughout their education. Along with her best friend, Princess Vasilisa Dragomir, a Moroi and the last of her line, with whom she has a nigh unbreakable bond, Rose must run away from St Vladimir's, in order to protect Lissa from those who wish to harm the princess and use her for their own means.

Vampire Academy (2014) Review

Vampire Academy (2014) is based on author Richelle Mead‘s 2007 novel titled “Vampire Academy”. Director Mark Waters (Witches of East End, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, The Spiderwick Chronicles) did not put his best efforts into this movie. This movie is just another teenage partying vampire movie that needs a whole lot of love to make it stay in the box office for more than 2 weeks. Vampire Academy contains gore, violence, teenage partying, sexual content and language. There is no suspense or anything that pulls you in and makes you want to watch the whole vampire movie. This vampire horror movie failed big time. I do like the soundtracks and actresses in this movie which is a plus.

Vampire Academy is about 17 year old Rose Hathaway (Zoey Deutch - Midnight Rider, Beautiful Creatures, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior) who is a Dhampir. A Dhampir is half a human and half vampire who are mortal peaceful vampires living discretely within our world. The Dhampir guards the Moroi (peaceful mortal vampires) from the Strigoi who are immortal vampires and who are bloodthirsty for human blood. I am not sure what to write about this movie because all the good parts of the movie is in the vampire trailer and I think the teenage vampire trailer was boring.
