Death Do Us Part Review

Kennedy Jamieson, a wealthy socialite, has waited her whole life to have the perfect wedding. Engaged to the charming Ryan Harris...

Award winning director from Vancouver, Canada, Nicholas Humphries (Cheers to Death, Spring Cleaning, Wake Me Up) failed terribly at this movie. He has experience so probably it was the three writers (Ryan Copple, Peter Benson, Julia Benson) fault - all who wrote four or fewer screenplays. Either way, the movie was a huge disappointment for me. I am a curious person and one of the reasons I saw this movie was because of the title, Death Do Us Part. The story line from what I saw and read previous to the movie was enticing, as well. Death Do Us Part (2014) was meant to be a psychological horror movie. It is rated R because of the gore, violence, bad language, drug use and sexual content.

Death Do Us Part contains all the worst parts of slasher films gone bad. The movie is about a bachelor and bachelorette party that is in a secluded place that eventually ended up tearing friends apart and many deaths. I am so bored with all these movies biting off of eachother and failing miserably at it. If you are going to take bits and parts from other movies to make your movie then make it work.

Kennedy (Julia Benson - Kid Cannabis, Leap 4 Your Life, That Burning Feeling) and Ryan Harris (Peter Benson - Black Fly, Spooksville, Air) are the lucky couple who have a party of a lifetime that includes friends dying. Kennedy appears to have a mental illness and comes from a wealthy family. Ryan seems to be a low life guy who is apparently sleeping with his soon to be sister-in law. Ryan, Kennedy and four friends heads off into the woods for their party and encounters a masked murderer - this took about fifty minutes into the movie. The blaming game starts when friends are turning up dead.

I found myself laughing at the sight of the three guys running back and forth in the woods at every little noise they hear - so there is humor in this movie!!!

The actors gave a weak performance which did not help the movie at all. I could not connect with the characters at all. The females all have humongous boobs and behaved like girls with no brains. Death Do Us Part was an epic fail.
