The Dooms Chapel Horror Review

Kyle Cole returns home to the town of Kaler Mills. He hasn't been back in 10 years since the people...

The Dooms Chapel Horror (2015) is an American horror found footage documentary style movie that was filmed in Paducah, Kentucky, USA. John Holt has directed a few short films before but this is his first full-length movie to direct. He did a fabulous job executing writer Jason Turner‘s screenplay. The movie contains, monsters, creatures, brutal killing/murders, blood, violence, anger, cult, rage, gore, vengeance and all sort of emotions.

Kyle Cole (Austin Madding) has been living with the worst feeling/burden for ten years, and that is being wrongfully blamed for the death of his older brother. His older brother was killed in a farming accident and Kyle left his hometown, Kaler Mills after being shoned/blame. Kyle, his girlfriend Mandy (Abby Murphy) and cameraman Tanner (Shaun Gerardo) has returned to Kyle’s hometown after ten years of being away to confront his parents and town about his innocence. Kyle soon realizes that he and his friends could have also lost their lives the same day his brother died because of a mistake. Kyle blames Jordan (Bill Oberst Jr. - Deadly Revisions (2013), Scary or Die (2012), Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies (2012), Resolution (2012)) for his brother’s death. Jordan is a scrawny but excitable person and is the ringleader of a band comprised of cultist and rednecks. Kyle tries to talk to Jordan as Jordan tries to win Kyle over and change his way of thinking. Kyle realizes that his hometown is now in turmoil and was plagued by numerous grisly murders.

Kyle is unwanted in the town of Kaler Mills and is shown that he is unwelcomed by being beaten, chased, threatened and amongst other things; by his peers. Kyle oversees all the threats and is determined to investigate all of the murders occurring in Kaler Mills. We take a while to see the creature/beast that is killing people in the woods every day but the wait was worth it. The soundtrack made the movie even more eerie and gave me the chills. I felt different emotions for Kyle throughout the movie and hoped that the town will apologize to him for blaming him for his brother’s death. It was a fantastic watch, and I would recommend it to all horror fans with a strong stomach to watch.
