Cannibal Fog Review
Synopsis:First bite gives you focus, third bite gives you pleasure, fifth bite - Cannibal Fog.
Cannibal Fog (2014) is a comedy horror movie that is 114 minutes long and was filmed in Gothenburg, Sweden. Director, producer, editor and co-writer Jonas Wolcher (Dragonetti the Ruthless Contract Killer (2010), Die Zombiejäger (2005), Zombienoid (2002)) did an okay job executing this movie. I will not see it again but was not disappointed that I did see it. I did not waste my time, but I would not recommend anyone to go out of their way to see it. The movie contains sexual content/scenes, bad language, violence, human-eating human, suspense and major plot holes.
Cannibal Fog is about Michael (Linus Karlgren) who had a deep load of issues and one of them being his craving for human flesh. It all started when he was enjoying the french fries and a female shot a guy that lead the guys blood to splatter on Michael’s fries. He then began to have a craving for human blood/flesh. Lotta (Ida Karolin Johansson) met Michael online and soon after started having a ton of sex with Michael, video camera recording them. Skip ahead and we meet Albin Gulbrandt (Malte Aronsson - Pure (2009), Mouth to Mouth (2005), The Last Sentence (2012)) who is a chef that… take a deep breath… cooks human flesh for his carnivore clientele. There is more mind boggling twists in this movie, but I will leave that for you to find out. Michael does not like who he is and wants to change himself, so he soon becomes Albin’s understudy and starts cooking human flesh. Skip some more, Michael is being bitten in his sleep numerous times and sets up mouse traps to catch his biter.
Cannibal Fog is considered a foreign movie in my book because I think it was meant for the Swedish crowd as there were moments that I did not understand what was going on. Perhaps if the movie had subtitles, then I would have been more fond of it.
