Exorcism (2014) Review

Exorcism (2014) is UK English possession horror movie that 73 minutes long. Director and writer Lance Patrick (Dark Rage (2008), The Hunted (2014), Internal (2013)) failed miserably at making an exorcism movie. There is just so much a person can do with the concept of an exorcism and lately every director has not excelled at it. I did not want to see this movie, but I am a reviewer, so I prepared myself to watch it hoping that I was wrong about it. I was not wrong, and the movie was a pure disaster, nothing new, the same old possession tale and the acting did not help. The actors all overacted and, therefore, their acting appeared unrealistic.

Exorcism is about a group of young group of filmmakers setting out to make a movie about demon possession. They decide to party hard so that they would not be enticed to part while working so hard on their scary movie. The group packed their van and drove to their ideal location, an old British house in the country to shoot their movie. There was a real life demonic possession in the house they are filming at. Things start going wrong in no time as a girl stabs herself with scissors - yep she is dead. A technician died, and no one is sure how that happened. They did not find it strange when a girl’s pupil changed color and is now black, and she is speaking… The movie was plain stupid where you might shout at the characters a few times because it was unrealistic. One of the characters decides to use a night vision camera and turn the camera on herself instead of her surroundings. Do not watch this movie unless you like to get bored.
