Skinwalkers Plot Synopsis:In accordance with the Navajos' legend, a thirteen year-old boy will finish with the curse of the powerful Skinwalkers, a.k.a. werewolves. The half-breed boy Timothy is raised by his human mother Rachel and protected by his Skinwalkers relatives since he was born. His grandmother Nana, his uncle Jonas, his cousin Katherine, her boyfriend Adam and their friend Doak have kept the secret about his bloodline and neither Timothy nor Rachel know the tragic curse. A couple of days before Timothy's thirteenth birthday, a pack of evil Skinwalkers that have tasted blood led by the evil Varek chases the boy while his family protects him.
Skinwalkers (2006) Review
James Isaac directed Skinwalkers (2006) is a werewolf movie I was looking forward to seeing for a very long time. Skinwalkers grossed a little over $1 million at the US box office. Stars include Jason Behr, Elias Koteas, and Rhona Mitra in this werewolf film.
Skinwalkers is about a mother and her 12-year-old boy who get caught up in a feud between two werewolf packs. Rachel Talbot (Rhona Mitra) is the mother of Varek / Caleb Talbot (Jason Behr). Together they become the focal point of a werewolf war.
I watched Skinwalkers with high expectations, and I think that was the reason I disliked the film so much. The cast did mostly okay with their roles, but it did not help. Natassia Malthe and Kim Coates delivered good performances also but spoiler free, either the director or the screenplay was lacking. You can easily leave this film at the bottom of your werewolf movie watch list, and that is saying a lot.
