An American Werewolf in Paris Plot Synopsis:

The daughter of the werewolf from AWIL is alive and living in Paris where her mother (from the first film) and stepfather are trying to overcome her lycanthropic disease. A trio of American tourists on a thrill seeking trip around Europe manage to stop her from plunging to her death from the top of the Eiffel tower and are embroiled in a horrific but often hilarious plot involving a secret society of werewolves based in the city and a drug which allows werewolves to change at any time... This time there's no need for a full moon...

An American Werewolf in Paris (1997) Review

An American Werewolf in Paris (1997) is directed by Anthony Waller that won 3 awards and was nominated for 1 more. This film is the sequel to the more popular An American Werewolf in London (1981) that failed in anticipation of living up to the original. This movie also had an estimated movie budget of $25 million to only take in $26.5 million at the US box office.

An American Werewolf in Paris is about three friends who are on a thrill-seeking ride across Europe. They then meet up with the daughter conceived in An American Werewolf in London (1981) and save her from committing suicide over the Eifel Tower. They become entangled in a plot where psycho werewolves have discovered how to change whenever they want through a serum, no need for the full moon to transform into a werewolf .

An American Werewolf in Paris did not live up to the expectations of a sequel to the better An American Werewolf in London. I remember watching this werewolf film when it was first released and then now. I enjoyed it much more back then, and now I feel like it is a complete mess in pacing, acting and directing. I can not pinpoint if the directing was the issue or the screenplay, but the film suffered because of it. How events transpired in the movie was also a problem.
