Friday the 13th Part 2 Plot Synopsis:

Months after Alice beheaded psycho killer/mother Pamela Voorhees at Camp Crystal Lake, survivor Alice is still traumatized because of the murders. But there is one problem: Mrs. Voorhees' son Jason never drowned and died, so he saw Alice behead Mrs. Voorhees. Jason finds Alice soon and murders her. Five years later, a camp counselor-in-training program begins at Packanack Lodge, right near Camp Crystal Lake. As teenagers in the program start snooping around Camp Crystal Lake, they start getting killed violently one by one.

Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) Review

Steve Miner directed Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) is the sequel to Friday the 13th (1980) and had an estimated $1.2 million movie budget. Friday the 13th Part 2 received $21.7 million at the US box office. Friday the 13th Part 2 was nominated for a Stinker Bad Movie Award for Worst Sequel.

Friday the 13th Part 2 is about a new killer appearing in a new camp next to Crystal Lake, Campanack Lodge after Camp Crystal Lake is shut down. Mrs. Voorhees aka Pamela Voorhees died so who could the new killer be, we all know it is Jason Voorhees (Warrington Gillette)? The teenagers stir up trouble from Jason Voorhees after they go snooping around on the shutdown Cam Crystal Lake.

Friday the 13th Part 2 is the sequel (directed by Steve Miner) and merely repeats the scenario of the original box office hit with only one exception; Jason Vorhees. His mother was the killer in the original, looking for revenge on the careless counselors who let her son die. Now, Jason has returned to get revenge for the decapitation of his mother.

In Friday the 13th Part 2, kill scenes are nothing spectacular (some are repeated from the first), but Friday the 13th Part 2 still has a right amount of scares in it. After this movie, the Friday the 13th series never really does anything new with its disposable teens and masked slasher except for finding new ways to kill them both.
