Stargate: Continuum Plot Synopsis:

When the Stargate team goes to see Ba'al, the last of the System Lords, being extracted from his host. All of a sudden, Tealc, Vala and all of their allies start to vanish. Later Carter, Daniel, and Mitchell try to escape through the Stargate but find themselves not on earth but on a ship trapped beneath the polar ice cap. They learn they are on the freighter that was delivering the Stargate found in Egypt in 1939 to America. The ship is about to sink and they evacuate. They are picked up by a submarine and brought to a Naval Base where they learn the SG project never happened. They try to warn the government that the Gouald might attack earth. But the government doesn't believe and tells them that they're being released and given new identities and not to talk to each other or about their previous alternate timeline . One year later, the Gouald attack and the government asks for their help.

Stargate: Continuum (2008) Review

Stargate: Continuum (2008) is a Canadian-American science fiction action adventure direct-to-video movie. Stargate: Continuum is the second sequel to television series Stargate SG-1 and is part of the Stargate franchise. Director Martin Wood (Stargate SG-1 (1997), Stargate: Atlantis (2004), Sanctuary (2008)) did a wonderful job executing this movie, but it was not my cup of tea. He captures the time travel Ba’al traveling back to 1939 so that he can create an alternate timeline. I did enjoy this movie to an extent, but it is not the type of movie that I generally enjoy, and I think my lack of love for this type of movie might cloud my interest. I gave this movie a five because it captured my attention for most of it.

Stargate: Continuum was a good watch but we warned, one might want to know a little about the characters and setting before seeing this movie. I am not saying to have a marathon watching all of the episodes in the series, but the movie does not introduce the characters well so non-Stargate fans might be a little lost. The movie revolves around an arch-nemesis of SG:1 that uses time travel to take measures that SG:1 will never be created. Non-Stargate fans: SG:1 is a group of top-secret U.S. government team/heroes. The heroes use high-tech wormhole portals to travel across the galaxy of English-speaking inhabitants. Three of the heroes somehow ends up landing in an alternate timeline that was created by the villains. The hero has a hard task, and that is to convince the U.S. authorities of the danger Earth is about to face. The movie progresses to showing the villains invading Earth and well, as we all know, chaos begins.

The majority of the actors did a great job, but a few of them could have put in a little more effort. I love the special effects and graphics that was, in my opinion, mind blowing. The cinematography and makeup were amazing as well as the sound and lighting effects. Stargate fans should watch this movie at their earliest convenience if you did not already because you would probably enjoy it more than I did.
