The Terror Within Plot Synopsis:

It's the post-apocalypse, and the world has been changed by "the accident", a chemical warfare experiment gone awry. At an isolated subterranean complex, a group of people survived because they were able to get the antidote for the illness. They rescue a surface survivor from the gargoyles, who unfortunately had time to impregnate her, and when the "baby" is born and escapes into the ventilation ducts, they begin experiencing an attrition problem.

The Terror Within (1989) Review

The Terror Within (1989) 1h 28 min rated R American science fiction horror film that was shot in Mojave Desert, Arizona, USA and the Mojave Desert, California, USA. Director Thierry Notz (Watchers II (1990), Goodbye America (1997), Fortunes of War (1994)) did not succeed in executing this movie into something that horror fans will want to see again or even for the first time. The film contains brief unpleasant nudity, gore, violence, gargoyles, rape, nothing new/exciting and a lot of goofs/mishaps.

The Terror Within takes place in a post-apocalyptic future/world where Gargoyle-looking creatures roam around. A group of people including a pregnant girl survived the apocalyptic because of a specific antidote. The pregnant female is pregnant with a gargoyle which leads to a chaotic outbreak after she gives birth.

A chemical/biological attack caused a huge portion of the world’s population to die or be mutated. Survivors Michael and John are survivors venturing out looking for other survivors. David and Linda are two other survivors who heard that Michael and John need help but will they reach in time? David and Linda found pregnant Karen who gave birth to a gargoyle while under anesthesia. No need to say that the gargoyle kills a few people and has intentions of reproducing with the female humans. The gargoyles rape their human victims to impregnate them and the gestation period does not take long. The gargoyles are not easy to kill as they can easily heal fast from burns, electrical shock and other means of hurting them.

I do not recommend The Terror Within because it was almost a total waste of time although there were a few good things about this movie which are the cast who gave decent performances and the cheaply made rubber monster costume. The Terror Within is an average horror movie with nothing new to offer horror fans.
