E3 2016: STATE OF DECAY 2 Announce Trailer [Video]

Microsoft also revealed their State of Decay 2 announce trailer. State of Decay 2 will be a Xbox One and Windows 10 PC exclusive set to release in 2017. Visually, vast improvements have been made for this generation hardware, and there is a more detailed representation of what the survivors are doing at camp to contribute in what feels like a more Fallout 4 looking aspect. In the end, we see a survivor getting overwhelmed and then he pulls out his flare gun to signal any nearby zombie survivors for help.

Frank West will return to the Dead Rising franchise in late 2016 with Microsoft and Capcom‘s Dead Rising 4. Dead Rising 4 will be a Xbox One and Windows 10 PC release. This trailer promises more of what we loved with the Dead Rising 3 game with further enhancements to the visuals and even crazier weapon mods and vehicle mods. Bethesda released their Prey reveal trailer, and that was welcomed warmly with a lot of excitement. The visuals are nothing short of astounding. President of Arkane Studios, Raphael Colantonio had the pleasure of revealing the trailer to the audience. We have waited for a follow-up to the 2006 Prey and finally have something to see. More will be revealed at the QuakeCon being held this August 2016 in Dallas. Telltale Publishing‘s new horror video game 7 Days to Die releases for the Playstation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One on June 28, 2016. 7 Days to Die looks like it has merged the same game mechanics from DayZ with a bit of action from State of Decay. Not that that is a bad thing but just an observation. Watch this trailer from E3 2016 because this game shows some promise as a good zombie survival game for 2016.

This new Deadlight: Director’s Cut trailer shows a “Survival Arena” with zombies swarming the player. This new version of Deadlight is an enhanced and remastered version of the popular zombie game. Lee Hardcastle delivered an incredible DOOM video just in time for Bethesda’s DOOM release this upcoming May 13, 2016. This video is part of Claycat Cinema, and it brings back so many memories. ZOMBI Release Date Announced

Zombi (previously known as the Wii U exclusive ZombiU) is a zombie game set in London releasing for PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox One, and PC on January 21, 2016. The survival horror video game is already available for digital download since August 2015. This is one of the better Ubisoft horror games that has seen new life without being tethered to the dying (dead) Wii U.

ZombiU Moving to Next-Gen Console as ZOMBI

Game developer Ubisoft last gave us a fun zombie game for the Nintendo Wii U titled ZombiU, but due to the small amount of hardcore gamers who had the Wii U, the game did not get the fame it deserved. Ubisoft has decided to bring back ZombiU as Zombi to Xbox One, Playstation 4, and the PC. ZombiU was a Wii U exclusive but that all changes on August 18, 2015, as a digital download. I missed this horror game also but you know I will be buying this game and testing it out now.

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY Virtual Reality Video Game in 2016!?

Paramount Pictures has joined with Beast Media Group to bring Paranormal Activity fans what they always never knew they wanted… the Paranormal Activity virtual reality video game. Virtual reality (VR) has had so many downs more than ups and I cannot imagine Paramount Pictures making the plunge into the gaming realm on something so shaky. I imagine a lot of money was passed around the table but I kid you not, I want this game to be great. It would be awesome that after so many years, the first best virtual reality game would be a Paranormal Activity game. The Paranormal Activity VR game is scheduled to release in 2016 for the HTC Vive, Sony’s Project Morpheus, Oculus Rift, PC, mobile, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 (PS4). That is certainly a lot of systems to perfect the gamer experience for.

The Joker's Fate in BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT Opening Sequence - E3 2015

The opening sequence for Batman: Arkham Knight was revealed at Sony’s E3 2015 and along with that was the fate of The Joker. The cinematic shows what happens with The Joker and throws in a bit about “This.. is how it happens. This is how the Batman DIES!” Game developer Rocksteady shows some amazing visual graphics and the story seems extremely deep and riddled with twists. We get to experience a very scary Scarecrow hallucination, enjoy. Batman: Arkham Knight releases on June 23, 2015 for the PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox One and PC.

The Walking Dead: Michonne - A Telltale Games Mini-Series Confirmed at E3 2015!

It was confirmed at E3 2015 that Michonne will get her own The Walking Dead game titled The Walking Dead: Michonne - A Telltale Games Mini-Series. Yes, a mini-series is planned and scheduled around Michonne. This mini-series game will cover issues #126 and #139 from The Walking Dead comic book series. Find out why Michonne left her group and the events that transpired during and after. A Fall 2015 release date is expected for the Playstation 4 (PS4), Playstation 3 (PS3), XBox One, XBox 360 and PC.

Fact: Is Microsoft Buying Silent Hills?

So Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox from Microsoft has tweeted the final verdict on the rumors floating the internet that Microsoft is buying the Silent Hill franchise and Silent Hills game from Konami. The final answer is… NO! Microsoft is NOT purchasing Silent Hills nor the Silent Hill franchise from Konami. We will not see the Xbox One exclusive title nor will we see Guillermo Del Toro and Hideo Kojima‘s horror vision come to life with Norman Reedus. Looks like Silent Hills will not be showcased at E3 2015… unless Sony purchases it as a Playstation 4 (PS4) fast but that is only speculation too. This is sad news because I like the Silent Hill franchise a lot and it looks seemingly dead now. Long live Silent Hill to every horror game fan!

Microsoft to Save Silent Hills IP From Konami!?

Microsoft is making moves to purchase Silent Hills from Konami for an Xbox One exclusive. Microsoft is trying to close the deal officially before E3 2015 so they can make it a major reveal at the event. To make matters even better, Silent Hills is said to be about 80% done and may release as early as March 2016. If this is all true, it would be great to have Guillermo Del Toro and Hideo Kojima reunite once more to complete the final 20% of the game which I believe should only be in the polishing phase anyway at this point. Are you ready to see Norman Reedus in Silent Hills?

The new horror game releases for February 2015 include Evolve, The Order: 1886, Resident Evil Revelations 2 - Episodes 1-2, Lucius II: The Prophecy and Hektor. My highlights for this month are Evolve and The Order: 1886.

Capcom's 'Resident Evil Remake' January 2015 Console Release

Capcom just announced that they will be releasing the new Resident Evil Remake for XBox 360, Playstation 3 (PS3), Playstation 4 (PS4), XBox One and PC on January 20, 2015. This game will release for $19.99. So what is this remake? The remake will feature the game mechanics from the previous “update” that was made for the Gamecube back in 2002 for the original 1996 original Resident Evil game. The main selling point and focus of this update was to enhance the graphics to high quality HD and they look stunning, especially compared to the previous 2 games’ graphics. This core game is what the “real” Resident Evil franchise started from, now with enhanced graphics, you must replay this classic horror game. Check out the graphics for the PC version below, the visuals are stunning.

Techland's 'Dying Light' Zombie Game Release Date Announced

Techland‘s new survival horror game Dying Light will release this upcoming January 27, 2015 for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3 (PS3), Playstation 4 (PS4) and PC. I cannot wait to play this action zombie game where you must outrun zombie hordes. The release date was pushed back to iron out any bugs and increase the smoothness (framerates) of the action sequences in-game.

HD 'State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition' Announced for Xbox One

For those of you craving zombies on the Xbox One, State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition has been announced as a special release for the Xbox One in Spring 2015. This zombie-survival game featured an enormous amount of zombies on screen (especially if you provoked them) on the Xbox 360 version and you already know what is going down… “unofficially”, they will be increasing those numbers to enormous amounts thanks to developer Undead Labs. Confirmed, this version will feature HD 1080p graphics, Addons Breakdown and Lifeline included with the addition of new added content. The “increased on-screen zombies” bit is a speculation as every developer has been increasing the amount of enemies on screen to show off next-gen console power and I see State of Decay playing out the same.

Goro Pre-order and Mortal Kombat X Release Date Announced

Warner Bros. has revealed that Mortal Kombat X will be released on April 14, 2015 for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 (PS3), Playstation 4 (PS4) and PC. Adding to the announcement is that Goro will be a special pre-order bonus for Mortal Kombat X. Usually special DLC’s are released to the general public for purchase after some time. I cannot wait to see the promo release for Goro battling in the new Mortal Kombat system of different fighting styles. I played Injustice: Gods Among Us and felt that the DLC costumes & character downloads were cool but too expensive for the player experience. I bought the season pass and that was it. I hope since another “brand” is not involved here that we can get more bang for our buck from developer NetherRealm Studios.

Bethesda Softworks' 'The Evil Within' DLC and Season Pass Details

Bethesda SoftworksThe Evil Within horror game releases this Tuesday October 14, 2014 for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 (PS4), PlayStation 3 (PS3) and PC in the US while the UK waits until Friday October 17, 2014. Take-Two's 'Evolve' Game Delayed to 2015

Publisher Take-Two recently announced that the Left 4 Dead developer’s Turtle Rock Studios latest game Evolve will be delayed with the new release date of February 10, 2015. The original date was scheduled for October 2014 but I know we will get an even more polished game in the final product. Evolve will release for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PC. I am a little disappointed too but I am looking forward to a better final game.

Original Capcom 'Resident Evil' Remake for Modern Platforms

We love our zombies and what’s better than taking a great game and giving it an upgrade in the latest graphics? Capcom will be doing just that in their new port of the Resident Evil that was originally released way back in 1996. This port will not be changed in any way unlike the Gamecube port in 2002 which made it seem refreshed to older players. The new Capcom Resident Evil remake will feature 1080p HD 16:9 widescreen with remastered 5.1 surround sound. You can get the new port for the XBox One, XBox 360, Playstation 4 (PS4), Playstation 3 (PS3) and PC this early 2015 in both North America and Europe as a digital download.

Halo 5: Guardians Announced for Xbox One

E3 is fast approaching us next month and I know we will be hearing more about the Halo 5: Guardians game so hear is what is known so far. The game officially releases in Fall 2015 but there is talk about a “journey” starting in 2014, not too sure what that is yet. Bonnie Ross, General Manager at 343 Industries had the following press release and this is what she had to say.

Bethesda's Wolfenstein: The New Order is HUGE!

Bethesda recently announced the huge specs for Wolfenstein: The New Order which are in a word, HUGE! Next-gen consoles (XBox One & Playstation 4) will have to install 47 GB and PC users will have to install 50 GB. XBox 360 users will need to install 8 GB on the consoles with four discs of content. Playstation 3 users will also need 8 GB free space to run the game off the disc or 17 GB for PSN Download. It is said that the huge space requirements is due to uncompressed audio but this just sounds insane to me. Bethesda does some amazing things so I waiting to see what develops here. May 20, 2014 is the official release date for Wolfenstein: The New Order.

Dead Rising 3 - Zombie Apocalypse Evolved Trailer

Capcom‘s Dead Rising 3 zombie game looks absolutely crazy as the developers sit down to discuss clips taken from in game. The developers share about the kinect features and why they choose to release the latest zombie game in the franchise for the Xbox One. Dead Rising 3 will have a huger world, a ton of weapons to pick up or craft, more zombies on screen to fully immerse you into the game that is fully streamable with no load times to take you out of the game zone. Asura's Wrath - New DLC Rage Fighting Goodness

I finally got around to playing Asura’s Wrath and all I could think is that this is awesome. It was only the demo available on XBox Live but it featured two episodes with intense battles. One enemy was bigger then the earth, hard to explain but you need to see it for yourself. Capcom and CyberConnect2 just announced new downloadable content for Asura’s Wrath with the first set to be released April 3rd. Check out the new trailer and images for Asura’s Wrath!

Dragon's Dogma - Box Art and Trailer
