Idle Hands (1999) Movie Review

Idle Hands (1999)

1999 | R | Horror, Thriller, Comedy

User Score: 69/100

Lazy Anton's right hand becomes possessed with murderous intent.

Now Idle Hands (1999) is another horror-comedy from my youth but upon watching this film again, there were some serious faults. The cast is great with a young Jessica Alba as the "dream girl", Seth Green as the zombie friend and Vivica A. Fox even plays a part in this disaster of a horror-comedy.

Idle Hands did not get anything really right. The horror is just not scary enough and the comedy is awful most of the time. Go figure, I liked the movie when I was younger. Idle Hands is very gory at times and sometimes the acting was too forced or awkward.

I would not watch this movie again, I’ve had my fill of this demon possessed hand. I gave Idle Hands a 4 because even though I wouldn’t watch it again, it still was okay to watch the cast do stupid-funny things not unlike the Scary Movie franchise.
