  classic tale w/ a modern twist
  
  This movie puts a modern twist on a classic tale. It's sort of like the story behind the story. Well written with good acting. Good DVD quality. I like that it incorporates the traditional "bad" giant myth with an understanding that the giant wasn't so bad afterall.

  We absolutely loved this movie. Took a few evenings to watch it, but it was well worth it. Our 8 and 9 year old are still enthralled with fairy tales and this was definitely a fresh take on an old story.

  an unusual spin...
  
  an unusual spin to an "old" fairy tale. I bought it for my young niece and enjoyed watching it with her. She is 4 so I fast forward the scary scenes now which doesn't make her happy (she likes scary). An appropiate film for older children
