HellHorror’s review of ABCs of Death (2012) breaks down the plot, scares, cast performances, and its lasting impact on the horror genre.
The ABC’s of Death is about 26 different stories written and directed by 26 directors with 26 different ways to die. It is interesting to find 26 different ways to die, but the movie was not all that. This movie is for adults because it contains full-on visible nudity of all female and male body parts. The ABC’s of Death does have 26 different chapters to it by other directors, so it is expected to have intense violence, an all-time gore fest, sad**tic frightening, scary scenes, foul language, and everything else kids and teenagers should not see.
I had never thought that I would see a movie like this. It is disturbing and definitely not for the weak at heart/stomach. I have seen many gruesome, scary films before, but this trumps all. I will never watch this movie again, even if I am paid to. It is an okay movie for those who have the stomach for it.
I believe director Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett created the best story (Q -Quack) about two men trying to kill a duck, and it had humor that made me chuckle a little. Imagine two men trying to kill a duck and accidentally shooting each other - A question for you to answer is - did they survive or live? Some other good ones to pay attention to are Unearthed, XXL, Libido, Nuptials, Toilet, and Pressure. The rest was not worth it and was a waste of time.
