Horror fans will enjoy our review of Caught (2015), where we cover its story, scares, and how it ranks among modern horror classics.

Caught (2015) is an American thriller horror movie that is energetic and filled with dark comedy. Director Maggie Kiley (We Own the Night (2007), Some Boys Don’t Leave (2009), All Good Things (2010), Brightest Star (2013)) did a phenomenal job bringing us this twisted mystery movie. I was filled with tension as the movie goes on because it was so intriguing, and the suspense kept reeling me in. The movie was well paced with unpredictable moments.

Sabrina (Anna Camp - The Help (2011), Pitch Perfect (2012), Pitch Perfect 2 (2015), True Blood (2008)) is a perfectionist housewife. Sabrina is the type of person that needs to have control over everything in her marriage and life. Sabrina found out that her husband Justin (Sam Page - The Brotherhood (2001), Shark (2006), Finish Line (2008), Slave (2009)) is having an affair. Justin is intimate with young Allie (Stefanie Scott - Wreck-It Ralph (2012), Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015), A.N.T. Farm (2011), No Strings Attached (2011)) who is also very beautiful. Sabrina and her sister Paige (Amelia Rose BlaireTrue Blood (2008), Commencement (2012), Angels in Stardust (2014), This Is Where We Go (2013)) has a plan in mind. Sabrina does not let Justin know that she knows about his affair and plans on kidnapping Allie with the help of her sister. They tied up Allie and kept her in their family attic. Sabrina and Paige’s plans escalate and soon gets out of control as Justin unexpectedly returns home early. The girls regret kidnapping Allie because she is so sweet but naive. Allie was a track star at school but was thrown off the team after she could not keep up her grades. Allie does not want her mother to know as they are trying to make ends meet. Allie has to work as a waitress to help her family.

It was sad to see when Sabrina realizes that her need of control over everything is not possible as there are some things that you cannot control. Anna Camp shines in this movie, and her acting talents gave this movie the nudge it needed. Will I watch this movie again - yes I will. It is a great girly flick that has the right amount of thrills, intense feeling, drama, and suspense. Sam Page did a horrible acting job in this movie. Sam’s acting was not believable at all, and I was so happy that he was not seen much. The cinematography rocks. I appreciate the director bringing this screenplay to the camera.
