Horror fans searching for a breakdown of Class of 1984 (1982) will find our review covers the plot, themes, and the shocking ending everyone talks about.

Class of 1984 (1982) is a Canadian action crime thriller movie that is 98 minutes long and was filmed in various locations in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Director and co-writer Mark L. Lester (Commando (1985), Firestarter (1984), Showdown in Little Tokyo (1991)) did a great job for a movie that was made so long ago. I liked watching the movie but could not help myself from finding too many flaws. I might give this movie another chance with an open mind when I have nothing else better to watch. Some people might find this movie interesting but at the time of watching it, it was an okay movie for me. The movie contains extreme violence, gangs, r*pe, blood, rules and bad language.

Class of 1984 begins by warning the viewers that the movie is partially based on true events. The movie revolves around Andrew Norris (Perry King - Riptide (1984), The Day After Tomorrow (2004), Class of 1984 (1982), The Lord’s of Flatbush (1974)) who is a new music teacher at a school. The school that he is now teaching at is not so safe as students have to go through metal detectors before entering the school because of extreme violence along with gangs and drugs. Andrew is surprised by his new teaching environment and soon becomes enemies with Peter Stegman. Peter Stegman (Timothy Van Patten - The Sopranos (1999), Boardwalk Empire (2010), Touched by an Angel (1994), The White Shadow (1978)) terrorizes the school and is the leader of the gang. Peter, Terry Corrigan (Roddy McDowall - Planet of the Apes (1968), Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973), Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972)) and other gang members also run a small prostitution ring.

Peter is not taking anything from anyone, including Andrew and will not stop dealing drugs and terrorizing students in the school. He carries around a switchblade with him all the time and will use it to save himself. Patsy (Lisa Langlois - The Nest (1988), Violette (1978), Happy Birthday to Me (1981)) is the only female member of the gang because she is Peter’s girlfriend. Andrew refuses to sit aside and watch the teachers and students being targets by the gang. He retaliates and tries to put things right and in result, putting himself and his wife Diane (Merrie Lynn Ross - General Hospital (1963), The Lucifer Complex (1978), Bobbie Jo and the Outlaw (1976)) in danger. Who will win this war in school? Will anyone from the gang or teachers die? Watch the movie…
