Horror fans will enjoy our review of Deadtime Stories (1986), where we cover its story, scares, and how it ranks among modern horror classics.

Deadtime Stories (1986) is an American comedy-horror anthology movie that is also known as Freaky Fairytales (1986), The Griebels from Deadtime Stories (1986), and The Griebels (1986). The movie was mislabeled because it did not contain any horror or comedy from my perspective. It revolves around an uncle who is trying to get his nephew to sleep by telling him three horror stories. Director and co-writer Jeffrey Delman (Stuck on You! (1982), Random Shooting in L.A. (2002), Voodoo Dawn (1991)) failed on executing this movie. The movie was boring and dreadful to watch. I gave this movie a one because it was a low-budget film that tried but failed miserably. There are a lot of low budget movies that shine above some of the high budget movies. The segments could have done less with all of the bodacious chicks - uncle telling a child about hot babes???

Segment - Peter And The Witches

Peter (Scott Valentine - Phantom 2040 (1994), My Demon Lover (1987), Carnosaur 3: Primal Species (1996), To Sleep with a Vampire (1993)) is a slave to two witches. The two witches want to use Peter to resurrect their dead sister. This segment is plotless and slower paced than a snail.

Segment - Little Red Runninghood

Rachel (Nicole Picard - Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation (1992), Ghoulies Go to College (1991), A Time to Die (1991)) is a high school student. She is seen wearing a red jogging outfit to pick up medicine for someone that needs it before the full moon. She was given the wrong medicine, and you can guess what happened next.

Segment - Goldi Lox And The Three Baers

Telekinetic Goldi Lox (Cathryn de Prume - Wild (2014), Terminal Velocity (1994), Mrs. Winterbourne (1996), Five Corners (1987)) and her family go on a crime spree. Goldi and her family are mental patients.
