Our honest review of Fright Night (2011) breaks down its scares, pacing, and whether this horror movie truly stands the test of time.

Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) is finally the cool kid in school, and he now begins dissing his old friends who are still losers. His old friend Ed gets a hunch that something weird is happening in the neighborhood, but Charlie gives him the cold shoulder so he wouldn’t fall back into the losers crowd. Jerry (Colin Farrell) moves in, and everything just seems weird. Charlie witnesses Jerry involved in some unusual behavior and appears to be a vampire. Jerry begins feeding on the neighbors, and it is up to Charlie to save the neighbors from the vampire.

The remake of the classic Fright Night is great. I made a mistake in comparing the beginning to the original. I liked the remake and would recommend this vampire movie as a film every horror fan should see.
