This in-depth review of Girl House (2014) explores its story, characters, and scares in detail, offering insights for every horror fan.
Girl House (2014) is a Canadian-American thriller horror movie that is 99 minutes long. First-time director Trevor Matthews also produce this film. He did a poor job executing this movie and should stick with being an actor. There are numerous new directors that did a better job than him but then again, maybe the screenplay is fault. Either way, if you read a screenplay and it appears to be blah or a lot of directors pass up the opportunity to direct it then stay away. The movie contains little suspense, little gore/blood, not much thrills, s**ual content, brief nudity and a really terrible experience.
Kylie Atkins (Ali Corbin - Neighbors (2014), American Reunion (2012), The Hole (2009)) and her mother cannot afford to pay her tuition fees after her dad passed away. She wants to stay in college, and the only way she can pay her tuition is by working for Girl House. Girl House is a place that cannot be hacked, cannot be traced and intruders cannot enter because it is well protected. What is Girl House? It is a business that streams x-rated live video of girls 24×7, seven days a week. After a few events, Loverboy (Slaine - The Town (2010), Gone Baby Gone (2007), Killing Them Softly (2012)) is the Girl House main customer and can hack any device because he is a computer whiz. He usually photoshops his image with the girl’s images and puts various landscapes behind them. He stopped his craziness when he met Kylie and now all he does is photoshopped pictures of him and Kylie. Loverboy went berserk when all of the girls said how they felt about him and did the unthinkable. Keep in mind - Loverboy can control (doors, lights, cameras) anything is controllable at the Girl House with an app on his phone. Yes - the Girl House is not accessible, unhackable, and no one can enter but Loverboy knows his stuff. Loverboy went on a killing spree with his device in hand
I was in total shock and still bored when I saw the death count in the last 35 minutes of the movie. I started to laugh by myself when I saw what they made an overweight person do. This person sneaks into a room, and no one hears him; stands in several corners and still no one sees him.
